1. Zettlr, a free and open source Markdown editor for personal knowledge management and publishing, had a new release recently (1.7.0, followed by 1.7.1 to fix some issues) which adds Vim and Emacs input modes, tabs support, and faster application startup time thanks to caching, along with many other improvements.
2. The Zettlr HowTo video series aims at introducing many of the features of the application to you. The series is meant as a starting point for learning ab.
3. Zettlr is a Markdown editor that focuses on all the things one needs to write texts. It offers inline previews, citeproc support, easy exporting to all formats (even slideshows), syntax highlighting for many languages, and is cross-platform.

Installing Zettlr. Currently, the only Linux repository that has Zettlr for you to install is the AUR. If your Linux distro is not Arch-based, you can download an installer from the website for macOS, Windows, Debian, and Fedora. Final Thoughts on Zettlr. Further options

On macOS, you can install Zettlr using Homebrew. Just make sure, Homebrew is installed and then run the following line of code in a terminal window:

$ brew install --cask Zettlr

On Windows, you can install Zettlr using Chocolatey. Install the Zettlr package by running the following line of code in a command window:

C:> choco install zettlr

Zettlr binaries are also available for setup on Arch Linux installations. The binaries can be found here on AUR.
