Organize your notes efficiently

When it comes down to taking notes to increase productivity, it’s best to have an app that syncs across numerous devices. Evernote, one of the leading note-taking tools, offers just that and more for iPhone.
Take notes anywhere, find information faster!
From to-do lists to meeting notes, organize everything effortlessly.
With Evernote, you can easily take notes, save websites, and track tasks. While the free version comes with basic tools, the premium version lets you organize notes, set reminders, and sync information across multiple devices.
Minimalistic design with power-packed features
Although Evernote’s apps for Mac and iOS give offline access to notes, you will need a paid subscription for this feature to work. Unlike its competitors, Evernote has a web app, which works with any browser or device. It’s the best way to access your notes anywhere, anytime.
With rich formatting, Evernote gives plenty of options to change the typeface, alignment, and point size. You can quickly add italics, bold, highlighting, and other elements to your notes. While it comes in handy for regular users, some people find such formatting options overwhelming.
If you think it’s too much, you could check out Bear, which is available for iOS and Mac devices. Its disadvantage? There is no web app available.
The Evernote app has a minimalistic design. With a column of organized icons in the far left, Evernote lets you take new notes, access shortcuts, search notes, view notebooks, and see tags in a simple click.
Advanced features for better organization
While some note-taking apps focus only on to-do lists, Evernote offers a lot more, like its capability to search for text in images. It doesn’t matter whether the images contain handwritten or typed text. If a search phrase is in there, you’ll be able to find it instantly.
With Evernote, you can take pictures of business cards, whiteboards, advertisements, presentations, and everything else to search for text. OneNote offers a similar feature and in this sense, is a considerable alternative.
Beyond that, If you apply for the paid subscription plan, Evernote lets you take advantage of its ‘Context’ feature. You can access news articles and notes based on metadata and keywords for the notes you’re viewing, editing, or writing. You can also sign up for an Evernote email address, which can be used to forward emails and information to your Evernote account. Just sync your apps with tools like Slack, Instapaper, and Pocket and you can instantly have an ecosystem of personal and professional productivity tools at your disposal.
Work Chat is another advanced feature found with this app. It lets you use an instant messaging window right in the Evernote workspace. Luckily, you don't need a paid subscription to enjoy this feature.
Finally, there is ‘Web Clipper’, a favorite among many. Using this browser extension, you can skip ads on a web page and save its contents directly into Evernote. While there are other note-taking apps that you could use, what makes Evernote special is the integration with a wide range of other apps.
Integration with Siri is a plus
Over previous versions, this is one of the better improvements Evernote implemented. Integration with Siri makes sure you keep on working away without skipping a beat. Whether you’re driving, working out, or making breakfast, you’ll be able to interact with Evernote easily.
Though you’ll need to use specific phrases, integration with Siri is the best way to easily take notes, set reminders, listen to information on web pages, and perform several other tasks.
Where can you run this program?
Evernote is available for Mac, iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. It requires iOS version 11.0 or later.
Is there a better alternative?
OneNote is arguable the most worthy alternative to Evernote! Searching and sharing couldn’t be any easier or faster. You can also sync OneNote with Skydrive, making it effortless to access notes and notebooks from multiple devices.

Simplenote is another good choice, letting you find notes with search tags, post instructions, share lists, or publish thoughts. Most importantly, it backs up your data in real-time. If you're looking for an alternative related to collaboration, you can check out Notejoy. Using this app, you can share information with the entire team and view the changes others have made. You'll indulge in threaded discussions, share reactions, and view notes quickly.
Our take
Evernote continues to remain one of the more promising note-taking and information gathering apps in the App Store. If you don’t want to lose track of your favorite web pages or important information, start using Evernote and sync it with multiple devices.
Should you download it?
Yes. The latest version of Evernote comes with several improvements. It uses Apple’s amazing software to become a one-stop shop for lists, notes, website clippings, PDFs, and photos. Without a doubt, it’s an amazing productivity app.
