  • Are there any functional restrictions when using tracks from a streaming service on rekordbox?

    The following restrictions apply when using tracks from a streaming service.

    • EXPORT mode

    Tracks cannot be used.

    • PERFORMANCE mode

    The recording function cannot be used. This is due to copyright restrictions set by the streaming services.

    The capture function cannot be used.

    Tracks cannot be loaded to the sampler deck.

    Tracks cannot be added to playlists. (ver. 5 only)

    Track information cannot be edited.

    Tracks are not shown in [Histories]. (ver. 6.0.4 or earlier version)

    The backup function will not be applied.

    Tracks are not added to KUVO playlist even if [Send Live Playlist to KUVO.] is enabled.

Soundcloud To Rekordbox

Following and check the FAQ provided on rekordbox.com. Cannot log in to the music streaming service. Check that your computer is connected to the internet. Music files cannot be displayed in the track list. When using SoundCloud, an account with SoundCloud Go+ is required. For details on SoundCloud Go+, see the SoundCloud website. As of version 5.6.1 you can stream and download tracks from Soundcloud if you have a Soundcloud Go+ account. There are a few caveats to using Pioneer DJ gear with Soundcloud. For starters some features of Rekordbox are disabled for these tracks, this includes recording and sampling since Soundcloud don’t have the legal right to let DJs do. Access tracks from the Beatport LINK and SoundCloud Go+ streaming services (separate subscriptions required) in Performance mode. All your files will be analyzed by rekordbox, enabling you to view waveforms, set Hot Cues, and tag tracks.
